ABOUT ABOUT

Ed Gannon’s Chambers of Terror presents:  Midwinter’s Ghost Stories

Join us for an evening of scary stories told by the fireplace like in the days of old.  We will all sit down in a room lit by candlelight, and I’ll share some ghostly tales with you, it’s true.  But more than that I’ll tell you why we are intrigued by these tales of the supernatural and A little history to put your fright into perspective. There are some complimentary foodstuffs and a small beverage popular in colonial days so you can appreciate the sense of the past a little more keenly.  These gatherings are small to keep the integrity of the experience; about 16 people.

In colonial and Victorian days Winter was a time of recuperating from the growing and harvest season.  A time of keeping warm and safe inside while it raged cold and bitter outside.  A time when people would gather round a fire and tell ghost stories!  This tradition continued strongly until almost 100 years ago when technology replaced the fire with light and heat.  Scary stories told at night have always been popular, and winter the most popular season to tell them.  Step back in time with us and experience Midwinter’s Ghost Stories!
